Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice is a chilling memoir by advocate Virginia Giuffre about the abuse she was subjected to by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, as well as, allegedly, Britain’s former prince, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and other influential men. The book was ghostwritten with journalist Amy Wallace and published posthumously on October 21, 2025.
As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, it is difficult to listen to and hear the frank and detailed descriptions of the torment that Virginia suffered through. It sheds light on the long term effects that such abuse wreaks upon the psyche. I find myself curled up, with one of the dogs, having flashbacks of my youth wondering why I am listening to her tale. Only out of respect do I do so.
Virginia took her own life on April 25, 2025, unable to cope with the demons that haunted her, her life having spiraled out of control in the prior months. That monsters like Epstein and Maxwell, and the dozens of men whom she was trafficked to were allowed to live and are being shielded from prosecution by the Trump administration to this day is criminal at a minimum.
While it is a very difficult read, I would recommend anyone to read the book if for no other reason than to pay tribute to Virginia and her legacy.
