Thank you to everyone that donated to the food drive fund. We raised almost $1000.

This is what about $500 worth of food and looks like. This was just from Wal Mart. We then went to Aldi for another hundred worth and the Dollar Store for another hundred worth of the personal hygiene items that the food bank asked for. We are going to go back out in a couple weeks and spend the balance.

It took over 2 hours to shop for all of it and about 45 minutes just to check it all out. By the end, we were exhausted.

Only with Voula’s help was I able to do it. It was her shopping and organizing and pricing that made it work. I wouldn’t have gotten half as much as she did.

We overwhelmed the food bank people… when I called and said we had some stuff to drop off and could they send a few people down to help unload I was asked “How much do you have?” And I replied “A truck full.”.
